"Sleigh Ride" ColorMe Pillowcase was created by a child from Flemington for this year's holiday season designs. Pillowcases sell for $21.95 or $39.95 per set of four, which includes fabric markers.

”This year’s new artwork is simply extraordinary,” said Dr. Paul L. Marciano, founder and “Chief Coloring Officer” of ColorMe Company. “We are excited to introduce our never before seen ‘Sleigh Ride’ pillowcase design by Colleen, 12, of Flemington.”

Consumers may purchase ColorMe products online at www.colorme company.com or at the FAO Schwartz toy store in New York City. ColorMe products turn greeting cards, T-shirts and other items into one-of-a-kind keepsakes.

“One Christmas, I asked my godchild if she had received my holiday card. She proudly showed me that she had added her own special touch by coloring all over it,” said Marciano, the grandson of Ludwig Bemelmans, creator of the beloved Madeline books that have delighted children for decades. “It hit me immediately that greeting cards aren’t fun for children, since they typically only sign their names to store-bought cards that have little personal meaning for the children or adults who receive them.”

A trained child psychologist who earned his doctorate at Yale, Marciano believes in the continual process of learning, improving and “coloring outside the lines.” He hopes to foster simple but time-honored values such as having good manners, giving, saying “thank you” and patriotism. ColorMe Company donates 10 percent of gross proceeds to charities such as Book First, which provides books to children in low-income families and The Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation, which assists children of Marines or Federal law enforcement personnel killed in the line of duty.
